AUTOGAS SISTEMI
Eksperimenti sa autogasom kao gorivom, počinju početkom 19 veka. Philippe Lebon (1801), William Cecyl (1817), Samuel Brown (1823), Lemuel Wellman (1833) i Etienne Lenoir (1860) konstruišu motor s pogonom na gas. Tim studijama rešeni su tehnički i radni problemi, a na osnovu njih Christian Reithman je izradio planove za izradu dvocilindričnog motora (1876).
Sve je više vozaca koji su rešili sve dileme u vezi sa tečnim naftnim gasom i u svojim automobilima ga već koriste. Tečni naftni gas se u samom procesu sagorevanja ponaša gotovo kao benzin, pa za njegovo korišćenje nije potrebno izvoditi veće izmene na motoru. U stvari, motoru se ništa ne menja, već se samo dodaju neki elementi, da bi moglo da se koristi novo pogornsko gorivo.
TNG - tecni naftni gas, u svetu poznat po akronimu LPG (Liquiefied Petrol Gas), predstavlja smešu propana C3H8 i butana C4H10, koja je uskladištena na povišenom pritisku, tako da se obe komponente, pri normalnim uslovima , nalaze u tečnom stanju.
Autoplin povećava trajnost motora za oko 35 odsto, rad je " mirniji'', cilindri se manje troše, a veća je i trajnost ulja u motoru. Plinski pogon ne stvara koroziju koja, inače, nastaje usled prisustva aditiva dodatih benzinu radi poboljšanja njegovih osobina.
